
In 1975 the hall of Pitsunda temple was erected organ, made in the GDR by "A. Schuke". The first performers were the Professor of the Leipzig Conservatory V. Shetelig and organist of the Leipzig St. Thomas H. Kestner.
Since 1976, the permanent organist is the diplomant of the Leipzig competition. Bach Harry Konyaev. In 80-ies along with it are the organist N. Sedan and L. Galustyan.
Since 1977 in the temple are held annually in September, the festivals of organ music, the initiator of which is the Professor of the Moscow Conservatory. P. I. Tchaikovsky, L. Roizman. Participate in the festivals well-known musicians – organists – V. Schetelig (Germany), O. Yanchenko, G. Grodberg, J. Tigris, B. Vasiliauskas, H. Lepnurm, G. Kozlov, and others. etc. Along with these festivals since 1985, a festival of chamber music "Night serenades", and since 1988 a summer festival of classical music organised by artistic Director and conductor of the national choir of Abkhazia N. Chanba with the participation of masters of arts.
In the summer of 1987 was first performed at home suite on themes Abkhaz folk songs at the concert Marina Shamba, who graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatory in piano and the Moscow Conservatory in the class of organ, which became the first national frame in the field of organ music, and now - people's artist of the Republic of Abkhazia. August 18, 1994, held a charity concert of Marina Shamba, which she dedicated to all who did not return from the war. Hosted the rebirth of the organ for the first time after the war.
Since 2002 on the initiative of a native of Abkhazia, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, the winner of "Grand Prix" X International competition. P. I. Tchaikovsky, laureate and other international competitions, now people's artist of Russia and people's artist of Abkhazia singer Hibla Gerzmava, in Pitsunda were held music festivals with the participation of soloists of the Moscow state academic music theatre Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko.
In 2006 in the concert hall of Pitsunda temple together with the Hibla Gerzmava hosted a concert of the world famous singer Elena Obraztsova. The concert was presented by renowned musicologist Stanislav Belza.
In 2007, continuing the tradition of holding Festivals in Pitsunda temple, in the framework of the "Hibla Gerzmava invites...", took place the concert of the State chamber orchestra "Moscow Virtuosi" under the direction of conductor Vladimir Spivakov.
In 2008, in the light of tradition "Hibla Gerzmava invites..." in the Pitsunda Church hosted a concert with the participation of Hibla Gerzmava and pianist Daniel Kramer.
June 27, 2008 Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia Concert hall Pitsunda temple was reorganized into the State institution "State concert hall Pitsunda temple" and included in the structure of the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Abkhazia.
